We are already starting up! On Thursday, February 20th at 11 am, we open registrations for the Vertical Montserrat 2025 in all its categories.
Up to 380 runners will be able to participate, distributed as follows:
- 20 OPEN participants.
Athletes federated or amateur, over 16 years old, in good health. Minors must submit an authorization signed by their parents or legal guardians. - 50 FIREFIGHTERS participants.
Professionals or volunteers equipped with intervention equipment: intervention jacket and pants, boots, gloves, F1 helmet and mask-free breathing equipment. - 30 WE ARE A TEAM participants.
Aimed at companies, sports clubs and other organizations that participate with mixed runners (one male and one female) that represent them and a minimum challenge of 500€. This year comes with the novelty that up to 4 runners can participate! - 10 INCLUSIVE participants.
People with visual, intellectual or physical disabilities. Accredited with the disability accreditation card with a degree higher than 33%.- Visual: Categories B1 i B2, According to the classification system of the IBSA (The International Blind Sports Federation).
- Physics: According to FEDDF regulations.
- Intellectual: According to FEDDI regulations.
- 20 CHILDREN participants.
Athletes from 8 to 15 years old accompanied by a runner over 18 years old. This modality only covers the route of the Santa Cova funicular, which has 711 steps. - NEW!!! MILLENNIUM participants.
New and exclusive to the 2025 edition coinciding with the celebration of the Millennium of Montserrat. A section of 4.65 km starting at Pont de l’Aeri and arriving at the hermitage of Santa Magdalena with a positive gradient of 1,000 metres. This category includes the stretch of 2,180 steps of the Open.
Millennium race
The organization reserves 20 places for sponsors and advertising commitments and reserves the right to expand, reduce or modify the distribution of the places for security reasons or for other reasons that may affect the good development of the race.

The registration fee for the OPEN and FIREFIGHTERS categories is 60 euros, the INFANTILe category is 40 euros and the new one for the MILLENNIUM category is 100 euros.
Remember that registration will not be effective until the last payment step has been taken!
The INCLUSIVE category and WE ARE A TEAM category can also be done directly on the same website.
Warning: To register for the inclusive category, a donation of any amount must be made (minimum 1 euro) and for WE ARE A TEAM you must make a minimum direct contribution of 500 euros or open a crowdfunding campaign to achieve it before the celebration of the race.
Once registered, if the runner cannot participate for whatever reason, the registration fee will not be refunded. Check the rules!
